Filtering your results allows you to narrow down your search results according to whatever parameters you choose. For example, you could filter your results to show only products that have low FBA fees, a high customer rating or within a certain category without having to manually search through rows of data!

Open filter tool

Click the filter icon and a new row will appear at the top of the product data table.

Filter one column

Find the column you'd like to filter and type your parameters. (Detailed instructions on how to write effective parameters at the bottom of this article). Hit Enter to search.

In the example below, only products with a rank of less than 30 are shown.

To return to the entire product search, delete your parameters and hit Enter.

If you'd like to narrow these results down even further, continue to the next section.

Filtering multiple columns

Leave the first column as is, choose an additional column, and enter parameters there. Your results will now show only the products that meet both parameters.

Examples of what to search

Below are some examples of how you can use filters in your market research.

For these examples, the original product search was for "bracelets".

Parameters with words

Product Name

leather mens

will return products with "leather mens" together in the name.

This is best used for words that will probably be used together, like "genuine leather".

leather%mens

will return products with both "leather" and "mens" in the name, but not necessarily together or in that order.

You could also search three separate words in the same way. Eg. leather%mens%brown.

-leather

will return only products that don't have "leather" anywhere in their name.

-(leather|wrap)

will return only products that don't have "leather" or "wrap" in their name.

Parameters with numbers

(Note: The < and > signs actually signify "less than or equal to" and "greater than or equal to")

Rating

>4

will return products with either a 4 or 5 star rating -- and nothing lower.

Estimated Revenue/Month

>2000

will return products which have an estimated monthly revenue of $2,000 or more per month.

Notice that you don't have to include a dollar sign.

FBA Fees

>1.50&<5

will return products that have between $1.50 and $5.00 in total FBA fees.

Don't forget to include the & in between the two parts.

You can always remind yourself of the different ways to filter by holding your mouse over the search row. You will see the list of possible filters below.
